Zeno-Mainardi

I am a Brazilian Music Producer and Audio Engineer graduated at SAE in New York who currently operates a high-end studio in the center of Berlin. With over 15 years of professional experience in the audio field, I have worked with many clients, creating and producing sounds for blockbuster movies, award-winning advertising campaigns and successful mainstream and independent artists.

You can expect me to be an all-round consultant for your music and audio technology needs who will get your project sounding the way you envision it. I am flexible and always available to work with you remotely or you are more than welcome to visit my studio where we can work on your music material together.

My services include mixing, mastering, recording and I am considered a synthesizer aficionado producer with a large selection of analog synths and other rare electronic instruments that can be used to make your project even more unique. With a background in cinema soundtrack production, I also do post-production work on movies, documentaries and commercials.

WORKFLOW

Project Briefing -> Data Exchange -> Discuss -> Make -> Feedback -> Reviews -> Final Product

How to send files:

  • Files can be sent via WeTransfer, Dropbox or FTP – a zip file through WeTransfer is the preferred method

When sending files for mixing:

  • Make a reference bounce of your mix with the master bus plugins on (if any) in AIFF/WAV
  • Turn off the plugins on the master bus (if any) before bouncing the individual tracks or stems
  • Send files with the same sample rate as your project
  • Send files in the highest possible bit rate supported by your DAW (32 bits or 24 bits)
  • Please send mono tracks as mono files and stereo tracks as stereo files
  • Check if your plugins don’t have the “analog” feature turned on, which usually creates unnecessary noise information
  • Do not normalize the files
  • Bounce consolidated AIFF/WAV files with the same length of the project
  • Bounce your effect aux channels to separate files
  • Please name the individual files accordingly
  • Send song tempo information and key if possible
  • You can also send an OMF or an open project, but this has to be discussed first

When sending files for mastering:

  • Please read the above notes – they are mostly valid for mastering as well
  • Aim for a -10dB peak volume for your bounced files – a little hotter is OK though
  • If you’re sending stems, bounce the bass, the vocals, the kick and the rest of the drums to different stems
  • Please send some tracks as reference in the best possible resolution, of music that you think that sounds good, has an appropriate loudness and shares characteristics with yours

Please contact me with your project needs and I will give you an estimate. Usually, I take 50% of the payment upon agreement of the project before we start, which is kept in case of cancellation once the work has started. The remaining agreed upon payment is taken upon the completion of the work. Payment can be made in cash or bank deposit.

You are entitled to 3 revisions and after that I will start charging for additional changes. If you have sent files in which I have started working on and you want to change something in the project, this is subject to additional charges.

You will get lossless files in the chosen format and sample rate; if you also need alternative loudnesses or other formats such as mp3, this is subject to additional charges including for multiple versions (Radio Mix and Instrumental Mix, as examples).
